Michael Ivison

Hello, my name is Mike Ivison. At age 31, I switched career fields from being a diesel mechanic to the GIS world. I've always loved maps. Initially, that's why I chose Geographic Information Systems. Today, I received a Master's degree in Geographic Information Systems Technologies, previously worked as a GIS Analyst, and now work as a Data Management Specialist at Esri. As someone who loves experiencing and learning new things, I have aspirations to learn programming skills and delve into GIS development. What I blog about on here will likely mirror my own journey on that path - or any other GIS stuff I find interesting. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
